How does buying a gun online from Atlas Gun Services work?

  1. Order and pay in full online. You must be 21 or older to order on our website.
  2. At checkout, choose Atlas Gun Services or another licensed dealer (FFL) as the receiving dealer. Firearms ship only to an FFL, never to a home address.
  3. When the gun arrives, come in to pick it up. You'll fill out ATF Form 4473 and pass a background check.
  4. Once you're approved, the gun is yours.

What do I need to bring to pick up a firearm?

  • A valid government-issued photo ID with your current address.
  • You must meet all federal, state and local age, residency and eligibility rules.
  • Federal law only lets us transfer a handgun to a Texas resident.

How long do I have to pick up my firearm?

  • You have 30 days after we tell you your firearm has arrived.
  • If it isn't picked up by then, the order may be cancelled under our Returns & Refunds Policy.

I bought a gun somewhere else. Can I transfer it through Atlas?

Yes. Have the seller ship it to Atlas Gun Services, 13380 Telge Rd Ste 805, Cypress, TX 77429. Ask them to email t.montgomery@atlasgunservices.com for a copy of our license.

Transfer fees:

  • $40 for the first firearm
  • $20 for each additional firearm in the same transfer
  • $50 for NFA / suppressor transfers

For example, three firearms in one transfer cost $80.

Do you handle suppressor and NFA transfers? How long do they take?

Yes. We're a Type 07 FFL / Class 2 SOT, and the NFA/suppressor transfer fee is $50.

  • NFA items are released only after ATF approves the transfer.
  • The ATF sets the approval time, and it varies, so we can't promise a date.
  • The item stays with us until approval comes through.

Can you special-order a United Gunworks, Dark Forge or Tailored Arms 2011?

Yes. Atlas Gun Services is an authorized dealer for United Gunworks, Dark Forge and Tailored Arms, and we'll order the build you want. Call (214) 763-4542 or email us about current builds and availability.

Before you order:

  • Special orders are paid in full when ordered.
  • They're final sale and can't be cancelled once placed with the supplier.

What happens if I cancel a firearm order or my background check is denied?

  • Cancelled or denied firearm orders are refunded minus a 15% restocking fee.

How much does Cerakote cost, and how long does it take?

Cerakote starts at:

  • $100 for pistols
  • $350 for rifles

Extra colors, patterns and customization cost more, and we quote before we start. Cerakote takes 1–2 weeks.

How much is gun cleaning, and how long does it take?

  • Cleaning is a flat $50 per gun.
  • Gun cleaning takes 1–2 days.
  • If you have 5 or more guns to clean, we offer mobile pickup. Call (214) 763-4542 to set it up.

How much does gunsmithing cost?

  • Gunsmithing is $50 per hour, and we quote before we start.
  • Typical turnaround is 1–2 weeks, sometimes same day depending on the issue.

What are your hours? Do I need an appointment?

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Walk-ins: welcome on weekdays, no appointment needed.
